New Yorkers: Email Senator Schumer Now and Tell Him It's Time to Step Aside

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had a chance to stand up to Donald Trump and Elon Musk—but instead, he surrendered. By caving to Republicans and allowing a disastrous funding bill to pass, he gave Trump and Musk more power while letting vital public programs suffer.

Schumer has failed to drive a real strategy to oppose Trump. We need a leader who will fight back—not someone who folds.

As a New Yorker, your voice is crucial. Email Schumer now and tell him to step aside.

Fill out the form (additional comment is optional) to send an email to Senator Schumer telling him that it's time for him to step aside as Senate Minority Leader to let someone ready to fight back against Donald Trump and Elon Musk to lead.

The Email to Senator Schumer:

Dear Senator Schumer,

As a New Yorker, I’m calling on you to step aside as Senate Minority Leader.

On March 14, you had the opportunity to stand strong against a disastrous Republican funding bill that will hurt millions of people while strengthening Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s grip on government. But instead of using your leverage to block it, you caved—allowing this bill to pass and failing the people who count on you to fight back.

Unions representing government employees and legal experts fighting Trump in court made it clear: this bill was worse than a government shutdown. Yet you ignored them. This wasn’t just bad strategy—it was a betrayal of the Democratic Party and of every voter who expects leadership that will stand up to Trump.

Our democracy is at stake, and we need a Minority Leader who will fight tooth and nail to protect it. That’s not you. It’s time for new leadership in the Senate. I urge you to step aside and allow someone who is ready to take on Trump’s attacks to lead.

Sincerely,
