Kristi Noem has turned the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) into a lawless arm of executive brutality - overseeing a secret police force that operates outside the bounds of human dignity and due process.
Under her watch, the DHS has overseen aggressive immigration enforcement operations that have resulted in multiple deaths and serious use-of-force incidents by federal agents. This is the result of a broader, aggressive, militarized immigration campaign that has sown fear and chaos in immigrant, Black, and Brown communities nationwide. Secretary Noem has abused her role with impeachable offenses, including obstructing congressional oversight of ICE facilities, denying access to investigations, and diverting taxpayer dollars into self-serving recruitment and propaganda efforts.
Congress should use every lever it has to hold the corrupt players of this administration accountable, starting with impeaching Kristi Noem. If Republicans won't check their own president, Democrats must force the issue. We need every tool of congressional oversight deployed without hesitation, starting with a vote to impeach Noem.

I am writing to demand that you publicly support accountability for Secretary Kristi Noem and to commit to voting to convict if articles of impeachment come before you.
Under Secretary Noem’s leadership, the Department of Homeland Security has operated with alarming disregard for transparency, accountability, and human life. In Minneapolis, masked ICE agents shot and killed two U.S. citizens, a devastating outcome of a broader, aggressive, militarized immigration campaign that has instilled fear and destabilized communities across the country.
Secretary Noem has failed to exercise the judgment and restraint required of her office. Instead of ensuring oversight and accountability, she has defended deadly operations, obstructed meaningful scrutiny, and allowed DHS to function as though it is above the law.
Congress has both the authority and the responsibility to act when executive officials abuse their power. Impeachment is a constitutional mechanism designed precisely for moments like this. If federal power can be used in ways that cost lives without consequence, then the foundation of democratic accountability is at risk.
I am urging you to stand firmly on the side of the Constitution and the communities you represent. Will you support articles of impeachment and any other efforts to hold Secretary Noem accountable?
