Tell your senators to act now to lower healthcare costs

Health insurance premiums are doubling for more than 22 million Americans, and up to six-million people have already, or will soon, lose coverage because Republicans made Affordable Care Act tax credits expire on December 31. In the House, Democrats and a handful of Republicans forced a successful vote on restoring the tax credits - now the Senate must act before it’s too late!

Passing the House bill would restore the ACA tax credits for the next three years and halt catastrophic price hikes, but Republicans are trying to insert a backdoor ban on abortion coverage and add other restrictions so less people can qualify for premium assistance. No one should have to lose their healthcare because Republicans insist on nickel and diming families while showering tax breaks on billionaires.

Use our tool to email your senators. Tell them you expect them to vote YES on the House bill to restore the ACA tax credits.

The email to your senators:

Dear Senator,

Health insurance premiums are doubling for more than 22 million Americans because this Congress allowed ACA tax credits to expire.

Now that the House has passed legislation to restore ACA subsidies, it’s up to the Senate to act. That means passing a bill with no poison pills as soon as possible.

Every day the senate delays, more people lose coverage or slide further into debt as they struggle to afford their premiums. Please do everything you can to push for a vote to extend ACA subsidies, and then vote yes.
