Demand Your Representative Cosponsor the Judiciary Act of 2023
The Supreme Court, which is stacked with MAGA justices hand-picked by Republicans and dark money groups, is completely out of control. During their most recent term, the conservative majority banned affirmative action in higher education, made it more difficult for the Environmental Protection Agency to regulate polluters to keep our water clean, overturned President Biden’s student debt relief plan, and ruled that business owners are allowed to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people. All of that is on top of the damage the conservatives did last term, when they struck down countless gun safety laws, and perhaps worst of all, overturned Roe v. Wade and threw our reproductive rights into chaos across the country.
Make no mistake: the conservative justices are extreme. These are justices who have refused to say whether climate change is real, whether systemic racism exists, and who have dedicated their careers to stripping Black and brown people of their right to vote. It’s not just their behavior on the Let’s not forget that one of the justices – Clarence Thomas – has not only accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in lavish gifts from a billionaire MAGA donor, his wife Ginni was apparently in contact with Donald Trump’s closest advisors ahead of the deadly insurrection attempt on January 6. Not to mention Thomas’s colleague, Justice Samuel Alito also reportedly accepted luxury vacations on a private jet from a billionaire hedge fund manager with business pending in front of the Court.
The only way to save our constitutional and civil rights is to expand the Supreme Court by passing the Judiciary Act of 2023 (H.R. 3422/). Every single issue we care about is at risk with this conservative MAGA majority in power at the Court. That’s why we must act now to unrig our courts before it’s too late.
The Judiciary Act of 2023 provides the most urgent solution to a Supreme Court that has been captured by conservative extremists. This bill would add four additional justices to the bench and undo the decades of conservative court-packing that got us into this mess. The Constitution does not require a set number of Supreme Court justices and the number has fluctuated over the years.
Supreme Court expansion is necessary to restore balance to the court after years of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell’s anti-democratic attempts to take over our judiciary. The Supreme Court is only legitimate as long as we can trust that the justices are fair arbiters of the law and constitution. We’re no longer confident that it is.
We must expand the Supreme Court. Check to see if your representative is a co-sponsor on the Judiciary Act of 2023. If they’re not a co-sponsor yet, call them and urge them to cosponsor the bill.

Demand Your Representative Cosponsor the Judiciary Act of 2023
Hello, I’m a constituent from [city] and I am calling to urge Rep. [NAME] to co-sponsor the Judiciary Act of 2023, the bill to expand the Supreme Court by four seats. Far-right dark money groups have been rigging our courts for decades, and have successfully stacked the bench with a MAGA majority who are beholden to special interests and the GOP. As a result, I have lost confidence that the Supreme Court is a fair arbiter of justice in this country that will uphold my constitutional rights. Expanding the Supreme Court will undo the damage that has been done and would restore faith and trust in the institution.
Supreme Court expansion is just the first step in ensuring our judiciary is a fair, objective body that represents the constitution and the rights of the American people. Will [Representative] co-sponsor the Judiciary Act of 2023? We must act now to save our rights and our democracy.
Your call to support court expansion makes all the difference! Call as many times as you can today and tell all your friends to call as well!
