On June 6th, President Biden announced the administration will invoke the Defense Production Act in order to drastically ramp up our production of clean energy technology. 

President Biden’s order to invoke the Defense Production Act, paving the way for a transition to clean, affordable, and reliable energy, signals that the administration not only received the calls from people around the country who have been voicing concerns regarding the state of our climate – it shows that President Biden is listening and ready to take action.
 
This Executive Order will massively ramp up production of clean energy technology and infrastructure, create good jobs with strong labor standards, and spur the creation of a just energy system that centers environmental justice.
